Education and Background

I am a PhD student within the school of biomedical sciences (clinical anatomy) at the Queensland University of Technology. Working along side my Supervisor Associate Professor Laura Gregory, my research in the Clinical Anatomy and Paediatric Imaging Research Laboratory focuses on investigating the change in morphology of the calcaneus with age and sex to identify regions which can be used for paediatric ultrasound. Our long term goal is to improve our understanding of bone development to improve diagnosis.

At Queensland University of Technology I demonstrate in several anatomy courses ranging from gross anatomy, medical imaging, embryology and tissue biomechanics. My purpose for creating this site, was to delve deeper into complex topics and explain them in simple terms. Going through each stage of my learning process – reading, drawing and study tips created from evidence based research.
